FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What tolerances do you hold on aerospace components?
±0.005mm on critical dimensions, verified on a Zeiss CMM with full report included. Critical features like mating bores and mounting holes are dimensioned per your GD&T callouts.
Do you provide material traceability for flight applications?
Yes. We source certified bar stock (Aluminum 7075/2024, Titanium 6Al-4V, Inconel 718) with full material certificates on request — heat number, chemistry and mechanical properties are kept with the order file.
Can you machine thin-wall brackets and mounting frames without distortion?
Yes. Thin-wall aerospace brackets are machined with stress-relieved stock, balanced material removal and light finishing passes to hold flatness and avoid warping.
What is the typical lead time for aerospace parts?
4–8 months for qualified production, depending on quantity and material. Prototype quantities ship faster — send your drawing for a concrete schedule.
How do you handle surface finish and edge prep on flight parts?
Specified finishes include bead blasting, anodizing and passivation; edges are deburred and radiused per drawing. Ra 0.4μm achievable on functional surfaces.
Do you machine Inconel and titanium, and what is the cost impact?
Yes — Inconel 718 and Titanium 6Al-4V are standard for us. These materials cost more in tooling wear and machining time; a DFM review will show you the exact impact before you commit.
Buyer Guide
Buyer's Guide
How to Request a Quote for Aerospace Parts
Send STEP or IGES plus a PDF drawing with: material grade, quantity, surface finish, and any cert requirements (material certs, CMM report, FAI). We review within 24h and return a quote with lead time.
Material Selection Guide
Aluminum 7075 for strength-to-weight, 2024 for damage tolerance, Titanium 6Al-4V for high-temperature and fatigue-critical parts, Inconel 718 for hot sections. Tell us your operating environment and we will recommend a grade.
DFM Tips for Aerospace Machining
Avoid deep pockets with sharp internal corners (use radiused corners), keep wall thickness uniform to prevent distortion, and place datum features on one side of the part to simplify inspection.
Quality & Inspection
Every part is CMM-inspected on a Zeiss machine with Cpk ≥ 1.33 on critical dimensions. FAI is free with every new part, and full dimensional reports are included with each order.
Lead Time & Shipping
Production lead time 4–8 months, prototypes faster. DDP door-to-door to EU and US — export, customs, duties and last-mile in one invoice, typically 4–6 business days in transit.
